DFI Organization Structure

DAISY Forum of India is a registered charitable society at national level. It consists of the General Body, Governing Board and the office bearers.

General Body

Designated representative from Primary and Associate Members, Development Partners and Government Department member organization constitute the General Body of the Forum.

The voting rights rest entirely with primary members of the Forum.

Membership options and benefits

Borad

One representative each from Primary Members and Government Departments constitute the Board.

The Board Members amongst themselves select the following officers: President, 2 Vice Presidents, General Secretary and Joint secretary. President of the Forum nominates treasurer for the forum. The treasurer has to be a member of the organization which is represented by the President.

Other Charitable organizations established on a not-for-profit basis

Friends of the Society

Commercial companies or other entities involved in software/hardware, accessible format publishing/conversion and assistive technology

Supporters of the Society

The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) divisions of companies or other organizations
Others Government Departments or agencies

Subscribers

University, School Libraries, Public Libraries etc.
